Peach Orchard - On July 2, 1863 Union General Daniel Sickles moved his III Corps into position in this peach orchard with his line extending north along Emmitsburg Road. The position was exposed to being flanked on both ends when Confederate General James Longstreet's I Corps attacked at around 4pm.
