Henry House Hill - Confederate take this position and hold it. It is here that BG Jackson earns his nickname "Stonewall." The Confederate defense is helped when Union batteries stop firing thinking the troops in front of them are Union troops but instead are Confederates clothed in blue uniforms. When the last Confederate reinforcements from the Shenandoah Valley arrive around 4pm, the Union forces begin to retreat.
